UNDERSTAND THE TRUE STATE OF THE WORLD

We live in a world full of wars, crime, poverty, corruption, economic inequality, environmental degradation and I can go on and on...about disease and outbreaks. What is invariably missing is any kind of context or perspective. There is no real depiction of the lives most of us leads.

Africa, North and South America became the norm to hear about violent crimes, domestic violence, child abuse, divorce rates ext. But during the past decades, it does not matter where in the world you go, it's part of our society. 

But, there is still a difference; We in the West work shorter hours, have more purchase power, have goods and services in almost limitless supply, and more leisure time than ever before. And economic inequality is far less of an issue after many governments made adjustments. Cellphone costs, services, and electronics are better and more powerful - and they cost a fraction since the prices of 10 years ago! 

The standard of living is much higher and many evolve to the ability of much higher levels of income since the internet. Anyone can become an online millionaire, buy and trade stock, and create their job. 

So, what about those who are living under the same sky and facing inevitable dysfunction and economic inequality? This reality exists and it's time to recognise what we cannot control, but what we can do if we are in a position to help others!
